Tabitha Bulgaria Easter Campaign 2026 has been completed with great joy and satisfaction!

Once again our long standing donors helped us provide eggs, Easter bread and food for the underprivileged children and young adults on our list. Thanks to their commitment and generosity, we were able to bring joy for Easter to the children and young adults at the social institutions where Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation has been assisting /supporting for years.

We are grateful to Stichting Promotie (NL) for its understanding and help for the Easter holidays. It has been more than 16 years that they have been supporting the social institutions in Bulgaria for Christmas and Easter. We would like to express our personal gratitude to Mr. Maarten Koel, who has taken the fate of the less fortunate children in Bulgaria to his heart. We would like to acknowledge the active help of Tabitha Netherlands Foundation and the personal involvement of its Board and the Boitens.

More than 600 underprivileged children and young adults at over 30 social institutions benefited by Tabitha’s Easter campaign 2026. We provided Easter goods to social homes, social complexes, Day Care-Centers for disabled children and CNSTs in Botevgrad, Borovan, Dupnista, Mezdra, Pleven, Roman, Samokov, Star of Hope Foundation, Stara Zagora, and Vratsa.
[See image gallery at tabitha.bg]

WE WISH A HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS 2026 TO

ALL OUR DONORS, SUPPORTERS AND FRIENDS!

We are happy to share that Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation’s Christmas campaign 2025 was successfully accomplished! More than 35 social institutions with nearly 600 children and young adults received presents, food and parties for Christmas and the New Year.

Tabitha Bulgaria’s Christmas campaign would have been impossible without the generous help from our donors, volunteers and friends, their efforts, kind understanding and commitment to the Bulgarian underprivileged children and people. Regardless of the financial crises, the soaring up inflation, the political restlessness we still managed to cheer up many destitute children and young adults. Another 75 low-income senior people from Roman and the region were supported with winter packages, Christmas party, presents and fire wood. Our generous donor Max foundation(Nl) provided means to buy stable food on a regular basis for 50 elder people in Roman for 6 months in a raw. (November 2025– April 2026).

More than a decade and a half, Stitching Promotie has been taking the fate of the Bulgarian underprivileged children at Christmas to its heart and has allocated money for the yuletide. Without their generous financial support, we would not have been able to launch Tabitha Bulgaria’s Christmas campaign. As ever we are especially grateful to Maarten Koel for his kind heart and personal involvement in the Christmas campaign for the social homes in Botevgrad, Borovan, Dren, Dupnitsa, Mezdra, Pleven, Roman, Samokov, Stara Zagora, Vratsa and Sofia.

We are blessed to have had the continuous support of Tabitha Netherlands Foundation which has made all activities possible. We would like to acknowledge the 26-years of support from Tabitha Netherlands and especially from the Board and the Boitens for their steady moral guidance and financial assistance which has enabled Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation to do its work.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! REPORT ON TABITHA BULGARIA FOUNDATION’ S CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN 2024

[See image gallery at tabitha.bg]

HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS 2025 TO ALL OUR DONORS, SUPPORTERS AND FRIENDS!

We are happy to inform you that Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation successfully completed 2024 Christmas campaign! More than 30 social institutions with nearly 600 children and young adults received presents, food and fun for Christmas and the New Year.

Our generous donor Max foundation(Nl) has provided means to buy stable food on a regular basis for the elder people in Roman every month, for a period of 6 months (November 2024– April 2025).

In the last 15 years Stitching Promoties considered the Bulgarian underprivileged children needs for the Christmas holidays and allocated money for the yuletide. Without their generous financial support, we would not have been able to launch the Christmas campaign.

As ever we had the continuous support from Tabitha Netherlands Foundation which made all activities possible. We would like to acknowledge the 25-years of support from Tabitha Netherlands and especially from the Board and the Boitens for their steady moral guidance and financial assistance which has enabled Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation to do its work and not fail the expectations of the less fortunate.

We would like to recognize the many-year dedication and ceaseless help of Bulgarian Orphan Fund (Ireland) at Christmas, especially of Catherine Barkley’s, her wonderful sister Miriam, family, relatives, friends and colleagues which made the children in Roman very happy. Thanks to their generous Christmas donation we provided food for the children for Christmas and the New Year Eve’s dinners, a beautiful party with presents and a DJ at a restaurant in Mezdra.

We also received financial means from SEWA (Sofia Expats Women’s Association) to liven up the disabled children with special needs in Vratsa and the Centre for Moms and babies. We brought them presents, goodies and food for the holidays

We are also thankful to Maria Soskova and her family for their financial support for Moms and Babies ’Unit in Vratsa. The regular New Year’s initiative of Ivan and Philip Matovs and their friends who fund-raised 1515 BGN at their party at the Eve of 2025 was greatly appreciated!

HUGE THANKS TO OUR GENEROUS DONORS!

Easter has always been one of our favorite holidays and the children and young adults at the social institutions love it. In 2024 we got a donation from Promotie Foundation which allowed us to launch the regular Tabitha Easter campaign. We provided Easter Bread, eggs, colors and chocolate goodies to over 600 children, young adults at the social homes in Botevgrad, Roman, Mezdra, Vratsa, Borovan, Pleven, Dren Dupnitsa, Saomokov, Stara Zagora and Sofia. The last couple of years were rather turbulent because of the very high inflation over 30%, the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East. However, thanks to the commitment and generosity of our donors we managed to provide an enjoyable Easter for the children and young adults at the social institutions which Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation has been supporting for years.

We are grateful to Stichting Promotie (NL) for their understanding and commitment to the Easter holiday. It has been more than 15 years that they have supported the social institutions in Bulgaria for Christmas and Easter. We would like to express our personal gratitude to Mr. Maarten Koel, who never failed to cheer up the the less fortunate children in Bulgaria at such holy days. We would like to acknowledge the active help of Tabitha Netherlands Foundation and the personal involvement of its Board.

We greatly appreciated the financial help

The execution of the project was done by Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation team who speared no time or efforts to provide the social homes with all the necessary goods for a happy Easter.

WELCOME TO THE NEW YEAR! MAY 2024 BE HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS!

Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation expresses its gratitude to all donors, volunteers and friends who made the Christmas holidays unforgettable for the underprivileged children included in Tabitha’s Christmas campaign! We greatly appreciate their efforts, kind understanding and commitment to the less fortunate in the Eve of Christmas. Regardless of the financial crises, soaring up inflation, political restlessness we still managed to organize and carry out a very good Christmas campaign. Thanks to our donors more than 600 children and young adults at over 35 Bulgarian social institutions were cheered up with presents and warm food for Christmas and the New Year’s Eve. We attended many parties to see 2023 off and prepare the way for 2024.

[See image gallery at tabitha.bg]

Another 50 low-income senior people from the town of Roman and the region were supported with winter packages, Christmas party, presents and fire wood. Our generous donor Max foundation(Nl) has provided means to buy stable food for the elder people in Roman for 6 months in a row (November – April 2024) for a second year. Thanks to MAX support we organized a Christmas party with lunch and presents for about 30 elderly people in Roman too.

[See image gallery at tabitha.bg]

Children prepare winter help for the senior people and wood! Christmas party for Christmas

In the last 16 years Stitching Promoties has held the Bulgarian underprivileged children’s fate at heart by allocating money for Christmas and Easter. Without their generous financial support, we would not have been able to launch Tabitha’s Christmas campaign. As ever we acknowledge Maarten Koel personal involvement and kind heart in the Christmas campaign for the social homes in Botevgrad, Borovan, Dren, Dupnitsa, Mezdra, Pleven, Roman, Samokov, Stara Zagora, Sofia, Vratsa and village of Yagoda.

PROMOTIE Foundation Tabitha-Netherlands Board Tabitha’s Irish donors

Some of the institutions got extra donations from Tabitha Bulgaria’s partners. We would like to acknowledge the 23-years of support from Tabitha Netherlands and especially from the Boitens and the Board for their steady moral guidance and financial assistance which has enabled Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation to do its work and come up to the expectations of the less fortunate. Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation would like to acknowledge the great support which we have received from Bulgaria American Association (BAS) for a number of very productive projects like Baba program in Vratsa and Roman, Educational support (literacy lessons, psychological training and cooking lessons) in Samokov, the Bridge between generations in Roman and others. Special thanks to Jeff Ploetz for his personal involvement. We would like to recognize the many-year dedication and ceaseless help of Bulgarian Orphan Fund (Ireland) at Christmas, especially of Catherine Barkley’s, her wonderful sister Miriam, relatives, friends and colleagues which made the children in Roman very happy. Thanks to them 80 children and young adults from Roman social homes and Day Care Centre had a wonderful party in a nearby town of Mezdra with presents.

The regular support of Werkgroep Bulgarije in Wijk & Aalburg (NL) for the social institutions in Stara Zagora made the children very happy. For Christmas they gave a cooker and laundry machine to the social homes.

The help of our families and friends was greatly appreciated too. They gave us a hand in packing the presents for the social homes. Native Connection OOD and Kelsa Smith- Moushkourova, and many others who helped us, make it through the Christmas campaign in December 2023. The regular New Year’s initiative of Philip and Ivan Matov and their friends who fund-raised over 1000 BGN at their party at the Eve of 2024 was greatly appreciated! The money will go to the scholarship of Minka Nikolaeva from Stara Zagora, who studies computer engineering.

HAPPY, HEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS 2023 TO ALL OUR DONORS AND SUPPORTERS!

As ever, Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation is indebted to all donors, volunteers and friends for their efforts, kind understanding and commitment to the Bulgarian underprivileged children in the Eve of Christmas. Regardless of the financial crises, the soaring up inflation, the political restlessness we still managed to organize a great Christmas campaign. Thanks to our donors more than 600 children and young adults at over 30 Bulgarian social institutions were cheered up with presents and warm food for Christmas and the New Year’s Eve. Another 50 low-income senior people from Roman and the region were supported with winter packages, Christmas party, presents and fire wood. Our generous donor Max foundation(Nl) has provided means to buy stable food for the elder people in Roman every month, for a period of 6 months (November – April 2023).

In the last 13 years Stitching Promoties has held the Bulgarian underprivileged children’s fate at heart and allocated money for Christmas. Without their generous financial support, we would not have been able to launch the Christmas campaign.

Inc (UK) for their Christmas donation which provided additional Christmas support for four homes (Pleven, Roman, Dren and Samokov) and to acknowledge the active role of Jody Kerr, Alice Danesh and Emma Daw for their charity initiative. We would like to recognize the many-year dedication and ceaseless help of Bulgarian Orphan Fund (Ireland) at Christmas, especially of Catherine Barkley’s, her wonderful sister Miriam, relatives, friends and colleagues which made the children in Roman very happy.

Farewell to Tabitha Netherlands Foundation’s Board! We had the pleasure of welcoming the Board for the first time in 10 years. Tabitha Netherlands has supported Tabitha Bulgaria’s many programs and overhead cost for more than 20 years. Thanks to their help we executed many sustainable projects at lots of social institutions in Bulgaria which made a lasting difference in the life of more than 1000 underprivileged children and young adults. They gave us a hand in humanitarian relief, in renovations of the orphanages, in inclusive educational projects and summer volunteers’ camp. The Dutch organization helped us set up a Day Care Centre for senior people in Roman and assisted elderly with winter packages and wood for many years. Tabitha Netherlands aid has been greatly appreciated and all the homes we visited wanted to express their gratitude to the Board for its sustained support through the years.

TABITHA BULGARIA’S REPORT ON THE EASTERN CAMPAIGN – 2021

HUGE THANKS TO OUR GENEROUS DONORS!

[See image gallery at tabitha.bg]

The corona virus challenged Tabitha’s campaign for Easter this year . However, thanks to the commitment and generosity of our donors we managed to provide an enjoyable Easter for the children and young adults at the social institutions which Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation has been supporting for years.
As ever we are indebted to Stichting Promotie (NL) for its understanding and contribution for the Easter holiday. It has been more than 10 years that they have supported social institutions for Christmas and Easter. We would like to express our personal gratitude to Mr. Maarten Koel, who never forgets the needs of the less fortunate children in Bulgaria at such holy days. We would like to acknowledge the active help of Tabitha Netherlands Foundation and the personal involvement of its Board and the Boitens.
We greatly appreciated the financial aid rendered by Tabitha’s volunteers from Werkvakantie Bulgarije – Samen Delen – Bruchen (Nl) and Corawill Inc, USA. For years before the pandemic they used to visit Vratsa social homes to work there and play with the children who loved them.
Our thanks go to the “Secret Angels”, a bunch of enthusiastic ladies from the international and local communities who did a great job for Easter for some of the institutions we work with.
We’d also like to acknowledge the timely donation of Raikovski family . Their son Sami (9 years old) shared his savings with the destitute children in Bulgarian orphanages. His contribution helped buying books, puzzles and toys for the children in Dupnitsa, Borovan and Mezdra social intuitions.
The execution of the project was done by Tabitha Bulgaria Foundation team who speared no time or efforts to provide the social homes with all the necessary goods for a happy Easter.

[See image gallery at tabitha.bg]

A lot of shopping

In the Eve of Easter we managed to cheer up the dismal existence of many children and adults in need. We also used the opportunity to distribute medical masks to all homes, donated by Maarten Luykx.
